Flora-Monroe Public

Holiday Lego Club is on Monday, Dec. 4, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Flora-Monroe Township Public Library. Plans are to listen to holiday music as the children build one-of-a-kind creations to help deck the halls of the library.

Storytime will focus on the holiday season during December. The next storytime theme is “Reindeer.” Miss Cathy will have stories, songs, and activities featuring Santa’s arctic helpers. Lil’ Readers Storytime will be Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Free holiday crafts for kids will be available throughout December. Stop by each week for something new to help celebrate the season. This week’s featured craft is a gingerbread house sticker scene. There is a limited amount available while supplies last.

Teen Club will be making Christmas cards for the elderly on Nov. 30 from 4:45 to 6:30 p.m. They will have a field trip in December to deliver the cards to senior apartments and Carroll Manor.

Craft Circle meets Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5. On Dec. 12, Craft Circle will make a Christmas ornament to adorn your Christmas tree or gift. Sign up for this free session at the main desk, or call the library at 574-967-3912, or email floralib@ flora.lib.in.us.

Lit Wit Book Club meets on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. The group will discuss “March” by Geraldine Brooks. The library rescheduled the discussion from November due to delivery issues. Extra copies of the Pulitzer winning novel are now available for checkout at the main desk.

Create a holiday tradition for family by coming to Flora on Dec. 2. There will be a parade at 6 p.m. with a tree lighting immediately following at the Flora Depot. Santa will be in the Depot following the parade until 8 p.m. Pick up a letter to Santa kit at the cookie table. See the wreaths in the depot wreath decorating contest including the library’s literary themed wreath.

Camden-Jackson Public

Camden Library’s Letters to Santa program continues through Dec. 7. Being December is his busy month, Santa needs plenty of time to answer each letter personally for Christmas. Come into the library to fill out a readymade letter or write your own to drop into the Santa Mailbox.

Craft and Chat continues on Tuesday afternoons at 2 p.m. in the Reading Room for anyone interested in good conversation and fellowship during their normal crafting projects. Refreshments will be served.

The library is adding a wheelchair ramp onto the reading room on the east side of the building. Both main entrances are unobstructed.

Camden Library will hosting a “Grinchmas” party on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Each child will receive a gift bag with a treat and a hat and gloves set. There will be snacks and a build-your-own snowman craft available, as well. The Grinch himself will be there to talk to and take pictures with.

Delphi Public

A Mini Gingerbread House Craft session will be Dec. 5 from 4 to 5 p.m. for children and accompanying adults. Materials will be provided (while supplies last). Contact pmckenzie@delphilibrary.org for information.

Game Night for ages 16 and up, will be Dec. 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the program room. Refreshments will be provided.

Coffee Beat presents ‘The Molter Brothers’, December 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. on the Mezzanine. Their music is a blend of saxophone and guitar instruments with vocal harmonies. For a sample of their work go to www.reverbnation.com/molterbrothers. Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided.

An Ugly Sweater Party for children and their accompanying adults, will be Dec.13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participants should bring their own sweaters to enhance. A variety of materials and supplies will be provided. Contact JwigansMerritt@delphilibrary.org for details.
