The FOOD FINDERS TRUCK will be at the Delphi Food Pantry on N. Washington St., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to bring their own container to carry food.

The RED CROSS BLOODMOBILE will be at Honon Hall in Delphi Oct. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hall is located at the corner of Monroe and Union streets. Call (800) 733-2767 or go to www.redcrossblood.org to make a blood donation appointment.

A CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP will be held the second Thursday of each month from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Delphi United Methodist Church. The group is for caregivers of adult loved ones who have an injury, disability, or illness or if you have cared for someone and want to share your experiences with others. The AMERICAN LEGION POST 75 will meet Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Post, 3079N. 900W. in Pittsburg. All veterans are invited to attend. (765) 564-4511.

Delphi Presbyterian Church will host its SENIOR CITIZENS MONTHLY LUNCHEON Oct. 11 noon in the church Fellowship Hall. All are invited and an elevator is available for those in need. For information or questions, call Susan at (765) 564-2371 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the church.

The MONTHLY LUNCHEON sponsored by the American Legion Post 75 will be Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Legion in Pittsburg.

The DELPHI ROTARY CLUB is sponsoring an event on Oct. 13 at the Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn to raise funds and awareness for the African Library Project through the Delphi Community High School Interact Club. Donations continue to be accepted for a MARKER to honor the contributions of county native CLAUDE RAYMOND WICKARD (1893-1967). Wickard served as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture from September 1940 until 1945 and then as head of the Rural Electrification Administration until 1953. Donations to help with the estimated cost of $2,500 to erect a marker in Wickard’s honor may be sent to the Carroll County Historical Society, P.O. Box 277, Delphi, IN 46923; write “Wickard marker” in the memo line. Wickard’s date of birth was listed incorrectly in last week’s Comet.
