GRAND OPENING of the Delphi Dog Park in Riley Park Annex will be Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tables and benches have been added to the concrete pad so folks with their dogs have a place to relax and visit. Pet waste bags and a receptacle will be available. A food truck will on site during the special celebration hours.
The CARROLL COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY will meet Thursday, June 23, at the Delphi VFW. There will be a social time from 6 to 7 p.m. with the meeting following at 7.
TIPPECANOE TOWNSHIP BOARD will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Pittsburg Park. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the use of Rainy Day funds and the 2023 budget proposal.
Delphi Lions Club will host its 28th DELPHI INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE on Saturday, July 2. Registration in the east end of the former Peters-Revington parking area at 1100 N. Washington St. begins at 8 a.m. and continues until the parade begins at 10 a.m. There is no pre-registration and no fee to register. Judging begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 9:45. This year’s theme is “Salute to the Red, White and Blue.”
