‘Magical Main Street Ball’ returns to Flora

Comet staff report

Flora Main Street will present its second annual “Magical Main Street Ball” on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Medieval themed ball is for the younger set, boys and girls ages three through sixth grade, and their adult date.

Pre-event activities will begin at 5 p.m. and will include “princess pampering” (hair, make-up and nails) for the girls and learning “knight skills” (manners and how to act like a gentleman) for the boys. Children need to come dressed in their finest or their favorite princess or prince outfit. There will be music, food, games, magic shows, photos, limo rides, and more.

The ball will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 8 and will be held in the Event & Education Center (former 4- H building) at Flora Community Park. The cost is $25 per couple plus $10 for an extra child. As soon as tickets are purchased an appointment needs to be made for princess pampering. There is no need to schedule an appointment for knight skills training.

Save the date and purchase tickets in advance at Fringe and Flowers & Friends in Flora, Reformation Hair Salon in Burlington, and Tropical Tan in Delphi. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. In the event of bad weather, the ball will be the following Saturday, Feb. 9.
