Soil Health Learning Series is offered

The Howard and Tipton County SWCDs along with Purdue Extension, NRCS and assistance from CCSI are holding a “Soil Health 101: Learning Series.” The series will begin Jan. 17 and be held at the Purdue Extension Tipton County Office, 1200 S. Main St., Tipton. The focus of the first session is pest management.

The series will include a mix of local farmers, agribusiness representatives, and Purdue University specialists who will be presenting information based on their research and in-field experiences.

The sessions are limited to 20 farmers. Other dates and topics are: Jan. 22, Drainage; Jan. 24, Cover Crop Management; Jan. 29, Nutrient Management; and Jan. 31, Combine and Planter Management.
