Salvation Army Red Kettles coming in December

Volunteers are needed
Comet staff report

Salvation Army Red Kettles will be visible the month of December in Delphi sponsored by the Delphi Lions Club. Lions’ member Dick Roe said volunteer bell ringers are welcome to help seven days a week for the entire month of December. Roe said there are two locations for bell ringers — Wallmann’s grocery store at the corner of Franklin and Union streets and Dollar General on Franklin St., both in Delphi and sponsored by the Delphi Lions Club.

“All the money collected will go to aid individuals in Carroll County,” Roe said. “Kim Widner is our local Salvation Army representative.”

Roe said Lions Club members will ring at both locations Dec. 6, 15 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Individuals, families, organizations, or church groups interested in giving an hour or two at either location can contact Roe at (574) 201- 8583.

“Giving an hour of your time to help someone else would be time well spent,” Roe said.
