Chapel Gallery opens in Delphi

Main St. in Delphi opened to the public during the Old Settlers celebration last week. The Carroll County Area Artists Guild currently occupies the former church, displaying various artwork as a sample of what is to come. The guild exists to encourage area artists in creating and establishing venues to display, sell and celebrate the arts.

Joan Ginter said. “We will open the gallery later in the month with pieces for sale.”

Ginter said the goal is to offer more items for sale by Aug. 25. She said the other artist guild members who will help run the gallery are Joy Bailey, Nancy Fowler, Meg Burnworth and Brenda Daly. Ginter further explained member Bailey plans to offer art classes to elementary school children.

The Chapel Gallery will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be contacted at (765) 564-9944.
