Delphi residents to take part in LOLC fashion show fundraiser

Comet staff report

Delphi resident Nallely Garcia Nava is a spokesperson and her 13-year-old daughter, Miranda, an ambassador, for Live Out Loud Charity (LOLC), a suicide prevention, anti-bully not-forprofit organization.

On Aug. 19, LOLC will host its 9th annual International Fashion Show at the Arts Garden, 110 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, from 5 to 9 p.m. The show is being held to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention and anti-bullying with over 75 models of all sizes, heights, ages, and ethnic backgrounds taking the stage.

“Our models are real people affected by suicide, depression, bullying, and low selfesteem. Each person that walks our runway is empowered by our training and the incredible experiences they gain at LOLC events. Live Out Loud Charity is a major support system for individuals needing a positive outlet to rebuild their confidence,” said founder, Sherrie Gearheart.

Spokespersons and ambassadors will be among those at the show who will be educating the audience on the signs of depression, the steps for suicide intervention and resources available for those in need.

Tickets are available online through eventbrite.com. To learn more about LOLC, visit: www.liveoutloudcharity.org or contact Nava by email at Nallelygarc@gmail.com or by phone (765) 426-9933.
