Photo provided The Delphi Community Middle School seventh grade math classes participated in Math Madness again this year during the NCAA Tournament. Each student filled out a NCAA basketball bracket, a Math Madness packet, and made a school flag.

Math Madness included basic math, probability, statistics, and graphing questions over the tournament, plus each student chose a school to research. In the process of this project, the seventh graders learned the probability of filling out a perfect bracket was approximately one out of 9.2 quintillion.

Bracket winners from each class and overall Flag winners won free pizzas from Monical’s Pizza in Delphi.
