Ronald G. Ulrich

Ronald George Ulrich, born Aug. 11, 1950, died on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at the age of 67. Ron died from cardiac arrest while downhill skiing at Alta Ski Resort in Utah, enjoying what he loved and was an expert at.

Ron was born and raised in Stanwood, Mich., and was a 1968 graduate of Morley Stanwood High School. He resided on Lake Freeman in Monticello, Ind., since 1978, and spent his winters since retirement in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Ron was a young entrepreneur who founded Tri-State Cob and Tri-State Sales and Leasing in Delphi.

He was gregarious, ambitious and experienced life to the fullest. He traveled extensively and loved every adventure he had.

He is survived by his daughter, Fallon Pegg (Dustin); her brother, Brandon Salazar; and grandchildren, Addison, Alexzander, Skyler, Ronsyn and Bryson. His siblings, Jeannie Ulrich, Lawrence Lewis, Jim Ulrich (Charlene), Jane Irwin (Ron), Judy Beemer (Larry), and Diane Rushmore (Kelly), and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer; his parents, Harold and Gladys Ulrich; and his siblings, Richard Ulrich and Sandra Lewis.

Visitation will be at Monke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, Mich., on Saturday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when the memorial begins. Burial will follow at the Stanwood Cemetery.

Donations to the Prader- Willi Syndrome Foundation in memory of his daughter, Jenny, can be made in lieu of flowers.
