Hobbs Hobbs Carroll County Deputy MIKE HOBBS recently served as a camp counselor at the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Annual Youth Leadership Camp. The camp was held June 27-30 in Warren County.

The camp is for middle school-aged children and provides four days of interaction between youth with various sheriffs and deputies from various Indiana counties. Youth learn different aspects of what county law enforcement departments do for their respective counties. Campers learn how departments respond to routine calls and how SWAT responses are handled, among other activities during the camp.

“After Deputy Hobbs returned from the camp, he was very enthusiastic and is looking forward to next year’s camp,” Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby commented. “We hope to continue a tradition in having our deputies participate in this worthwhile ISA youth program.”
