Brouwer, Lacy to exhibit works in juried show

Comet staff report

Carroll County artists Rena Brouwer and Terry Lacy have work accepted into the Indiana Artists Annual Juried Exhibition.

Indiana Artists, the oldest juried artists’ organization in the state, will return to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) this spring for its 85th annual exhibition which will consist of a variety of mediums from artists throughout Indiana.

The opening reception and annual meeting of Indiana Artists will be April 9 at 3 p.m. Exhibition dates start April 7 and continue until June 4 in the IMA’s Bret Waller Gallery.

Since the organization’s inception, there have been 84 juried exhibitions. Starting in 1994, these exhibitions have been held at the IMA. Each year, artist members are invited to enter the annual Spring Juried Exhibition. Submitted works are reviewed by an outside juror to be included in the exhibition. Works accepted are then juried to receive awards.

At last year’s exhibition, Lacy was an award winner, receiving a Jury Prize of Distinction.
