Dorothy K. Garrison
Born March 29, 1928, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Clarence and Elmina (Stout) Groninger. She attended Logansport schools. On Sept. 17, 1959, in Delphi, she married Julian K. Garrison Sr., who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1997.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles, fishing, and spending time with her family.
She was a charter member of the Delphi VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Lafayette Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are four sons, Bill Spicer (wife: Martha) of Otterbein, Julian Ken Garrison Jr. of Lafayette, Johnnie Garrison (wife: Molly) of Fishers, and Harold Garrison (wife: Jane) of Indianapolis; six daughters, Julie Garrison of Lafayette, Freda Draper of Cannon, Ga., Connie Webner (husband: Frank) of New Harmony, Utah, Wanda Buck (husband: Mike) of Wawaka, Helen Slifer of Delphi, and Nella Kent of Hutchison, Kan.; two sisters, Nancy Grable (husband: Ron) and Jean Shepard, both of Logansport; 56 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 15 nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be today, Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial will follow at Sandridge Cemetery, West Lafayette.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
