TLHS to present ‘Oliver!’

The Twin Lakes High School Theatre and Music departments are presenting their spring musical, Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!” this weekend in the TLHS auditorium. Performances will begin at 7:30 Friday and Saturday nights.

Based upon the classic novel by Charles Dickens, “Oliver!” won Bart Tony awards for Best Musical and Best Lyrics and went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture. The story follows the eventful life of a young orphan, Oliver Twist (Will Novack) from his dreary, hopeless existence in a London workhouse to his escapades with a pack of pick-pocketing street urchins.

Favorite songs from “Oliver!” include “Where Is Love?” “Consider Yourself,” “Who Will Buy This Wonderful Morning” “It’s a Fine Life,” and “Oom-pah-pah.”
