Wrestlers compete in folkstyle open

The Carroll Cougars Wrestling Club competed in the Normonco Folkstyle Open held at North Montgomery High School. PeeWee Xavier Williams recorded his first win with a pin and Bantam Reed Humphreys recorded a win by pin and a minor decision. Williams and Humphreys each had fourth place finishes. Intermediate Chase Humphreys ended the day 3-2 and finished fifth. Novice Bradley McCain started the day with a tech fall 15-0 victory and finished fifth.

Places third

Dagan Noonkester competed Sunday at the Normonco Open in Crawfordsville. He finished in third place, going 3- 1 for the day with two wins by pin. Noonkester is a fourth grader at Carroll Elementary School and a member of the Trojan Country Wrestling Team at Tri-Central High School.
