Hilda G. Wagner
Hilda G. Wagner, 92, of Delphi, passed away at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. She had been a resident there since November.
She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Canada, the daughter of the late Lyman D. and Ethel B. Rohler Fisher. She graduated from Flora High School in 1938. On Nov. 22, 1938, in Delphi, she married Ralph O. Wagner, who preceded her in death in 1980.
Hilda worked at New Hope and Delphi Community high schools as a cook in the school cafeteria.
She was a member of the Delphi Christian Church and the Madison Township Extension Homemakers Club.
She enjoyed sewing, doing yard work, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Merrell (husband: Mick) of Fishers; two sons, Jerry Wagner (wife: Carolyn) of Bringhurst and Thomas Wagner (wife: Martha) of Delphi; nine grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her sister, Lula Mae Fife; her brother, Edward E. Fisher; and a great-grandson, Justin.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Bob Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi. Viewing will be two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
