Successful blood drive held in Flora
Fifty-six pints of blood were received from 64 volunteers when the Red Cross Bloodmobile visited Flora on Jan. 26.
The Flora United Methodist Church with eight volunteers will receive $100 from the Flora Psi Iota Xi. The Bringhurst United Methodist Church with five volunteers was runner-up. Twenty-five different denominations were represented.
Richard Hufford, Bringhurst, received a nine gallon pin; Don Peters, Bringhurst, an eight gallon pin, and Jamelle Allen, Kokomo, a one gallon pin.
Volunteering for the first time were Joan Johnson, Flora, and Zach Bell, Delphi.
