Buyers seminar for online internet tax sale scheduled
Carroll County Commissioners, Auditor, and Treasurer will sponsor a seminar designed for those interested in participating in the upcoming online tax certificate sale. It will be Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. in the commissioners meeting room on the second floor of Carroll County Courthouse, located at 101 W. Main St. in Delphi. The seminar is free and intended to instruct potential bidders for participation in the upcoming county online auction.
The online sale will begin March 28 at 10 a.m. and close April 9 at 5 p.m. It will consist of county-owned tax lien certificates starting as low as $30.
The seminar will be conducted by SRI, Inc. Representatives will demonstrate the system and answer questions pertaining to the sale procedure during the seminar. SRI provides tax sale and related services to 86 counties in Indiana and has been contracted with Carroll County for over a decade. Commissioners will utilize the online sale to return delinquent tax properties to the tax rolls and benefit those citizens of the county that conscientiously pay their tax obligations.
