WHITE/CARROLL COUNTY AL-ANON meets at 7:30 p.m. Mondays at Faith Covenant Church, 570 S. Maple St., Monticello. Al-Anon is for those who are currently living with, or have lived with the problem of alcoholism. Anonymity is an important principle of the Al-Anon program with everything that is said in the group held in confidence. Everyone is welcome.

Indiana residents can fight back against cancer and share hope for those facing the disease by supporting the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY DAFFODIL DAYS®. For a donation of $10, enjoy a bouquet of fresh-cut daffodils while supporting the fight against cancer. In addition, a bunch of flowers and a vase is available for $15, or two bunches and a vase for $25. Have a bouquet of daffodils in a vase delivered anonymously to cancer patients within the community. The last day to place an advanced order is March 9. Flowers will be delivered March 19-23. The RED CROSS BLOODMOBILE will be at the Burlington Park Community Building Feb. 7 from 1 to 6 p.m. The need for donated blood is always great. In fact, the pint you donate may help your neighbor who is recovering from cancer treatment, or the friend of a friend who was in an auto accident, or your niece who experienced problems at childbirth. Any one of those individuals have been or could be helped with your willingness to donate blood.

The Board of Directors of the FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC OF CARROLL COUNTY is creating the Clinic’s strategic plan and is seeking feedback from members of the community. The public is invited to a meeting at the Delphi Public Library’s Community Room at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 to offer ideas and suggestions for the board to consider as the clinic continues to evolve to serve the community.

AMERICAN LEGION POST #75 LADIES AUXILARY will meet Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall on S. Washington St. in Delphi. Guest speaker will be Janet Barnaby, who is a past officer of the State Ladies Auxiliary. Attendance is encouraged.

The CARROLL COUNTY AREA PLAN COMMISSION OFFICE will be closed Feb. 8 to 10. No building permits can be issued at that time. The office will re-open Feb. 13 at 8 a.m.

The Delphi VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS (VFW) will host a chili cookoff with celebrity judges Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. at the VFW post, 304 N. Market St., Delphi. Community residents are encouraged to enter the contest. Call Jim Snowberger (765) 564-3620 for details.

FLORA COMMUNITY CHOIR EASTER CANTATA rehearsals will begin Sunday, Feb. 5, from 2-4 p.m. at the Flora United Methodist Church. This year’s cantata will feature “As Sure As My Redeemer Lives So Shall I,” under the direction of Miriam Robeson.

The annual meeting of the BALL HILL CEMETERY ASSOCIATION will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Cutler Fire Station. All interested in the cemetery are welcome to attend. For more information call (765) 268- 2455.

A CALLOUT meeting for new and present CANAL AND TRAIL VOLUNTEERS is set for Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Canal Interpretive Center in Delphi. The meeting starts with a free ham and bean supper at 6:30 p.m., but those who want to come early can review plans for developing more outside activities and exhibits. Volunteers are needed for boat crew, MW F construction crew, Canal Center greeters, and school tour assistants.
