Bobby E. Myer
Bobby E. Myer, 88, of Wesley Manor, Frankfort, passed away at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette following a brief illness.
Bob was born to Earl and Jesse Myer on April 12, 1923, at the family farm outside of Camden. He was a 1941 graduate of Camden High School. He served in the Army Air Corps at Indian Gap, Pa., during World War II.
After the war Bob farmed and later worked for Green Tree Feeds as a salesman for over 30 years.
He is survived by two sons, Dale Myer (wife: Sherry) of Cos Cob, Conn., and David Myer (wife: Paula) of Austin, Texas; a granddaughter, Adriane Bohannon (husband: Patrick) of Wake Forest, NC; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy Ann. He also is survived by three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann, two brothers, and two sisters.
Throughout Bob’s life he was a hard worker with an indomitable spirit. He was greatly loved by his family and friends. He always had a kind word for everyone he met. His smile will be missed at Wesley Manor.
Services were held Saturday at the Wesley Manor Chapel in Frankfort followed by interment in the Musselman Cemetery at Camden.
