Discover Wildcat Creek Day set for June 11

Adams Mill will be the site for Discover Wildcat Creek Day co-sponsored by the Wildcat Creek Foundation and Wildcat Guardians.

The event will be June 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wander the grounds, check out exhibitors, and take part in various activities scheduled throughout the day.

Historic Adams Mill will be open for tours. The mill grounds are adjacent to the Oxbow Nature Preserve and DNR fishing access.

Wildcat Guardians will be providing canoe rides around the oxbow.

Those attending may hike on their own or take the guided hike on the new C.J. Baker Nature Trail through the Oxbow. The new trail will be dedicated that day.

Kokomo’s Cyndi Fisher and Lafayette’s Joe Peters will be providing live, original music.

Fly fishing demos will be provided by Tippecanoe Fly Fishers.

There will be children’s activities around the grounds. Activities will include both nature and history.

Food will be available from two groups, Protect the Wildcat and Presbyterian Women, or families can bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds.

Adams Mill is located on County Road 50E near Cutler.
