Joan L. Baker Rostomily, 83, San Jose, Calif., and formerly of Lafayette, died Aug. 31, 2010, at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose.

Born April 11, 1927, in Peru, she was the daughter of the late Sydney G. and Agnes Smith Baker. Her marriage was in 1952 in Reno, Nev., to Kenneth B. Rostomily, who died May 16, 2006.

Mrs. Rostomily retired from General Electric in San Jose.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary S. Plantenga of Lafayette and Shirley J. Horn of Delphi.

Services were held in San Jose.
