The Carroll County United Fund held its annual organizational meeting recently at the Flora Community Center. The budget for 2011 was discussed and a fundraising goal of $55,400 was set. A new board of directors was named.
The fund supports many local organizations such as ARC of Carroll County, Boy Scouts of America, Carroll County Cancer Association, Carroll County Senior and Family Services, Carroll County Food Pantry, Carroll County Special Olympics, Central Indiana Girl Scouts, Family Health Clinic of Carroll County, Carroll County Community Center, Junior Achievement, Book Readers and Horn Blowers and Carroll County Firefighters Association.
Attorney Abigial Huffer was invited to replace her father, James Huffer, who had served as president for more than 30 years and was a strong supporter and advocate of the efforts of our independent United Fund.
