Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will join 3,100 churches across the nation for “Back to Church Sunday” on Sept. 12. Everyone is welcome to attend. Adult Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. followed by morning worship at 10 with children being dismissed for Sunday School at 10:20.

Faith Lutheran Church will have its annual Pork Chop Supper on Sept. 18.

The Deer Creek Community Center will have a style show by the Grapevine Boutique on Sept. 25. A luncheon will be served at before the style show.

“A Meet Your Neighbors at the Community Picnic” will be held Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Community Center. Those attending are asked to bring: last name begins with letters A-H, a salad; letters I-P, a hot dish; and letters Q-Z, a dessert.

A scrap metal drive is currently under way to benefit the county’s two parks, Deer Creek and French Post parks. Items may be left at Deer Creek Park through Oct. 1.

A work day will be held at Deer Creek Park on Sept 15 to work on the club house.

The park is a great place to have family get-togethers.
