Ecumenical Women’s Retreat to be held at Camp Tecumseh

Nowling Nowling An Ecumenical Women’s Fall Retreat will be held Sept. 17 and 18 at Camp Tecumseh. Registration will begin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. with the program concluding at noon on Saturday.

This year’s speaker will be the Rev. Peg Nowling, who will present “If I Only Had – Conquering the Oz Syndrome,” with references to Rahab from the second chapter of Joshua. Her presentation will point out the signs along the yellow brick road of life and take attendees down the path God intends.

Nowling is a graduate of Vincennes University, Indiana University and Christian Theological Seminary. She was ordained in 1995 and has served as pastor in New York, Ohio and most recently at the First Baptist Church in Lafayette. She is passionate about helping women find and use the gifts God has provided.

Rev. Nowling has served as field education supervisor at Christian Theological Seminary for the past seven years and has been president of the Minister’s Council of Indiana, Kentucky and Greater Indianapolis for the past two years.

There is a cost of $50 for the retreat which includes two meals and overnight accommodations at the Camp Tecumseh Leadership Center. There is a fee of $25 for oneday attendance and full or partial scholarships are available.
