Donn Brown, Republican candidate for State Representative District 27, will host a town hall meeting Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Library, 627 S. St., Lafayette. The national health care legislation that was recently passed by Congress will be discussed as to how it affects the rights of citizens as well as what can be done to protect citizens rights, including the processes of repeal, nullification and interposition.

Thomas Weddle the founder of Restore Government Ministry and an instructor for the Institute on the Constitution for the past seven years, will speak. For over a decade Weddle served as the president of a competitive Indiana public utility and a communications association defending the constitutional rights of competitive communications companies in Indiana.

The meeting is sponsored by local Tea Party representative Donn Brown, who is a Republican candidate for State Representative District 27.
