Boy Scouts visit historical sites
Delphi Boy Scout Troop 155 recently returned from a trip to Gettysburg, Pa., and Washington, D.C. The seven scouts and three leaders spent four days camping near Gettysburg and spent time visiting the historic battlefield and museums in the area. The troop then traveled to Washington to visit the Smithsonian Museum, Arlington Cemetery, The Old Post Office Pavilion, The White House, Vietnam War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and many other sites. The troop helped local land owners clear their land of scrap metal and received various donations from “Friends of the Troop” to help offset the cost of the trip. Pictured are (l-r): Seated - Zack Taylor, Bransen Shidler, Scoutmaster Paul Jefferies and Trevor Peters. Standing - Jesse Dunn, Brandon Jefferies, Assistant Scoutmaster Bill Shidler, Jared LaFond and Wyatt Lucas. Assistant Scoutmaster Scott LaFond took the photo. Photo provided
