Entries are being sought for Rossville’s SUMMERS END FESTIVAL PARADE on Aug. 28. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. with check-in from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. For registration information and form, visit www.rossville.net, click on Summers End Festival.
The Carroll County SWCD and Greater Wabash River RC&D will hold a PUBLIC MEETING on July 29 at 8:30 a.m. in the Bennett Room, 50 E. North St., Rossville to learn more about the Mississippi River Basin Initiative (MRBI) and program funding that can assist in addressing resource concerns on land within the Wildcat Creek Watershed.
CARROLL COUNTY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION INC. will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.
GIRL SCOUT TROOP 41156 is collecting school supplies for local children whose families cannot afford them. The troop has purchased backpacks for the supplies, but needs help in filling them. The memory and artistry of Delphi native LYNN THOMSEN (1957-2008) will be honored in a special
EXHIBITION of 30 of her works August 1-29 at the Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art in Delphi. An opening reception will be held Aug. 1 from noon until 4 p.m. During August, new works by resident artists Rena Brouwer, Terry Lacy, and Alan Mc- Connell also will be on display in the gallery, along with pottery by guest artist Angie Peterson. Hours are Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
VALLEY VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH will host a Gospel Concert featuring The Coventry Quartet on Aug. 8 at 9:30 a.m.
