Gallery to feature Thomsen exhibit
Thomsen
The memory and artistry of Lynn Thomsen - Delphi native and 1975 graduate of Delphi Community High School - will be honored in a special exhibition of her works Aug. 1-29 at the Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art in Delphi.
The opening reception will be Sunday, Aug. 1, from noon to 4 p.m.
Entitled “Lynn Thomsen, 1957- 2008…a Carroll County Legacy,” the exhibit will feature 30 of her oil paintings, pastels, and sketches, including many landscapes from Carroll County. For Thomsen, local rural scenes were a constant source of inspiration and connection.
This exhibit of her work is by special arrangement with her husband, Clifford Hull, as a tribute to her memory and to their association with the Delphi Preservation Society. Many of the paintings will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the DPS in the restoration of the Delphi Opera House.
