Wrestling club earns top five placings

Photo provided Carroll Cougars Wrestling Club competed in its final tournament of the season Saturday in Kokomo. All five participating members placed in the top five.

Bantam wrestler Bradley McCain had his season best day, suffering only one loss by points to finish second. Bantam wrestler Chase Humphreys had a tougher day, finishing in fifth. Pee- Wee wrestler Tanner Turnpaugh went 3-2 on the day for a third place finish. Pee- Wee wrestler Reed Humphreys earned another pin and finished in fourth place. Intermediate wrestler Mason Sheagley, with three pins on the day, fell by decision in the final round for a second place finish.
