DCMS wrestling team places third overall
DCMS wrestlers Members of the DCMS 7th and 8th grade wrestling team competed recently in a conference meet with three wrestlers winning championships. Delphi Community Middle School seventh and eighth grade wrestling team competed March 6 in the W.C.J.C. Wrestling Conference held at Benton Central High School. Delphi placed third overall and in the top six with 13 out of 14 wrestlers.
Winning conference championships were Zach Offett (80 pounds), Walker Alderman (100 pounds) and Matthew Randle (220 pounds); second place, Aldo Guadarrama (125 pounds), Billy Heffner (130 pounds) and Bryer Houston (170 pounds); third place, John Little (120 pounds) and Adam Clawson (180 pounds); fourth place, Tyler Kinzer (110 pounds) and Josh Gillam (150 pounds); fifth place, David Joselyn (160 pounds) and sixth place, Tyler Ross (135 pounds) and Josh Breedlove (140 pounds).
Delphi sixth grade wrestlers competed in a 12- team tournament in Frankfort with Jimmy Snowberger, Coy Cronk, Hunter Mote and Dylan Hart taking home championships. Earning second place honors were Dillon Mathews and Joseph Crider; third place, Kolby Kinzie, Johnathan Ragan and Micheale Rohrman; and fourth place, Hunter Alderman.
