Jerry L. Oldfield
Jerry Lee Oldfield, 74, of Cutler, died at 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at his home.
Born Feb. 17, 1936, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Jess Austin and Margaret Westerman Oldfield. His marriage was on Sept. 17, 1954, in Crawfordsville, to Bonnie Larie Miller, who preceded him in death on April 20, 2007.
Mr. Oldfield was a graduate of Kokomo High School.
He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.
He retired Oct. 1, 1996, from PSI Energy Inc. after 42 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Mr. Oldfield also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Oldfield II (wife: Sandy) of Kokomo and Barney Oldfield of Cutler; three daughters, Starla Eads (husband: Jon) of Kokomo, Michelle Keck (husband: Jeff) of Burlington and Jodie Guise (husband: Chris ) of Flora; eight grandchildren, LeAnn Sefton (husband: Tony), James DeLano, Jesse Parker, Tabitha Parker (fiancé: Jeramy Bogue), Curtis Keck, Crystal Keck, Robin Guise and Andy Guise; two step-grandchildren, Heather Eads and Jon Eads; and three great-grandchildren, Skylor Sefton, Taylor Sefton and Prestin Bogue.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Elsie Fording.
Services were held Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home in Kokomo. Steve Cole officiated. Burial followed at Sunset Memory Gardens in Kokomo with military rites by the Kokomo Military Rites Team.
