Whitcomb Thomas
Whitcomb Golden Rule Thomas, 102, of Indianapolis, died March 2, 2010, in Indianapolis.
She was the surviving member of triplets born to Perry and Anna Wise Rule on Nov. 4, 1907, at their home near Camden. Each of the triplets was given one of the names of the popular Hoosier poet James Whitcomb Riley. Brothers James Perry and Riley Paul preceded her in death.
She married Raymond C. Thomas in 1947. He died in 1987.
Mrs. Thomas taught elementary grades at New Hope and Flora schools in Carroll County and at Frankfort before going to Indianapolis to teach until her retirement.
Services and burial were March 6 in Indianapolis.
