Fred Francis Flora, 85, of Flora, passed away at 6:33 a.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, at St. Elizabeth East Medical Center in Lafayette.

Born April 26, 1924, in Carroll County, he was the son of Lloyd C. and Bertha M. Lowe Flora. His marriage was on Dec. 20, 1952, in Laura, Ohio, to Catherine “Edith” Oswalt, who survives.

Mr. Flora was a retired farmer.

He was a member of the Old Brethren German Baptist Church.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Darrell Flora (wife: Doris Ann) of Bradford, Ohio, Duane Flora (wife: Kim) of Delphi and John Flora (wife: Ellen) of Flora; a daughter, Marilyn Frey (husband: Mark) of Bringhurst; a brother, Lloyd Ivan Flora (wife: May) of Flora; 11 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; nieces; nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Calvin and Clyde; two sisters, Venna Flory and Audrey Lavy; and a great-grandson, Jackson Flora.

Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will follow at Musselman Cemetery, near Camden.

Arrangements are being handled by Reinke Funeral Home in Flora.
