TLHS to present Beauty and the Beast

Comet staff report

Twin Lakes High School Theatre and Music departments will present their spring musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast this weekend, March 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m., and March 14 at 2 p.m. in the TLHS auditorium.

Beauty and the Beast is the magical tale of Belle and the Beast (Hannah Holmes and Nick Brietic). Belle is a young beauty who tires of life in her small town and dreams of adventure and romance. The Beast is in reality a Prince who was transformed by an Enchan tress (Rachel Woolley) when he offended her with his arrogance and cold heart. When Belle’s inventor father, Maurice (Riley Dedaker) gets lost in the forest, he and Belle both end up captives in the Beast’s castle. Belle persuades the Beast to let Maurice go by promising to stay in his stead. Little does she know that the castle is filled with enchanted creatures – humans who have been turned into objects by the Enchantress’s spell. The only way the spell can be broken is if their master learns to love and be loved in return.

Tickets are $6 for reserved seating and $7 for premium reserved seating. Tickets may be obtained from DiAnn Adams in the TLHS guidance office, (574) 583-7108, ext. 2326.
