Approximately 250-300 farmers and homeowners representing 176 households and farms were crammed into the Camden Community Center to hear the latest update on the proposed route for the Hoosier Heartland Highway. The original route would have paralleled SR25 between Logansport and Delphi, splitting south, just east of The Andersons. However, last month INDOT officials learned of a development of a rural historic district near the Wilson Bridge over Deer Creek. INDOT officials were forced to look at alternative courses because historic preservation takes precedence over everything else.

Harry Thompson, son of George N. Thompson of Delphi, and a brother of V. C. Thompson of Camden, has suddenly disappeared and it is feared by his friends that he has either met with foul play or has taken his own life. As the story goes he went to Logansport last Saturday to do some shopping and is alleged to have been in an intoxicated condition. He was refused a ride on the traction cars on that account. Since that time he has not been seen or heard of and the police of Logansport are rather inclined to believe that failing to make the car home, he took another and went the wrong direction.
