Delphi supports Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser
The Delphi boys’ basketball team, in connection with the National Association of Basketball Coaches program, recently sponsored a “Coaches vs. Cancer” campaign, designed to help in the fight for a cure and raise proceeds for the American Cancer Society.
During the week-long event, DCHS raised $1,000 through student and staff donations, as well as contributions from the community at the entryways staffed by Delphi Middle School basketball players during the boys’ basketball games against Pioneer.
Saturday night’s game was dedicated to family members and friends of the basketball team who have suffered from cancer, with the team providing programs both “in memory of” and “in support of” those who have been affected.
