William E. Brant, 85, of rural Frankfort, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Oct. 12, 1924, in Clinton County, he was the son of Russell “Ted” and Meda Parker Brant. He graduated from Michigantown High School in 1942. On March 26, 1950, he married Carolyn Lowery, who survives.

Mr. Brant was a life long resident of Clinton County. He was a self-employed farmer and also worked at Federal Mogul for 24 years.

He was a life member of Moose Lodge #7.

He enjoyed his four grandsons.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Elaine Henderson of rural Frankfort; two sons, Craig Brant (wife: LeAnn) of Forest and Curt Brant of rural Frankfort; a brother, Donald Brant (wife: Phyllis) of Frankfort; a brother-in-law, Dale Reppert of Frankfort; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Lou Brant of Frankfort; and four grandsons, Adam and Ryan Henderson and Brandon and Bryan Brant.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Earl Brant and infant Richard Brant, and a sister, Julia Reppert.

Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Services will be there Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
