Cancer Association offers scholarships

Comet staff report

The Carroll County Cancer Association will offer scholarships to high school seniors and graduates enrolled in health-related classes for the fall 2010 school year. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are pursuing a degree in a health field.

“The association wants to encourage the education of young people from Carroll County interested in earning a degree in a medical-related course of study,” scholarship committee chairman Marcia Sledd said.

Applications are available at the student’s school guidance department. Graduates enrolled in the curriculum may send a letter of their intent to continue in the field along with a transcript of their 2009 fall semester grades to: Marcia Sledd, Chairman of CCCA Scholarship Committee, 204 W. Summit St., Delphi, IN 46923.

Applications must be postmarked by March 31.
