Area IV Head Start has announced that it will begin enrolling children from Carroll, Clinton and White counties for the new school year. The federally funded pre-school program primarily serves low-income families. Services include health, education, social services and parent involvement.

Head Start will accept children ages three to five to participate in the 2010-2011 school year which begins in the fall. Enrollment will run through May 1 and placements will be based on greatest need. Applications received after May 1 will be placed on a waiting list.

Space is limited so eligible applicants are encouraged to apply now.

Applications are available at Area IV Head Start sites in Flora, Frankfort, and Monticello.
