Learn what Ivy Tech has to offer at the second annual FIND YOUR FUTURE, DISCOVER IVY TECH DAY on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Collect information on admissions, financial aid, career assessment, student life, and the many degree programs offered at Ivy Tech. Guided tours and demonstrations will allow visitors to trek the campus and explore the facilities. Prospective students, high school students and parents, and adults interested in a degree or skill advancement are welcome. The event is free and no registration is required. All events will take place on the Lafayette campus located at 3101 South Creasy Lane.

Greater Lafayette Commerce and SCORE are partnering to offer a free workshop entitled HOW TO START A FRANCHISE BUSINESS from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 2 at the Swezey Commerce Center, 337 Columbia St., Lafayette. Jim Gleason of FranNet of Mid-America will conduct the workshop. Gleason is a franchise consultant with experience matching parties with franchises. BABYSITTING TRAINING COURSES will be offered on three Tuesdays in March at the Tippecanoe County Chapter of the American Red Cross. The training is for students ages 11-15 and focuses on leadership skills, basic skills, diapering and feeding techniques, safe appropriate play practices, bedtime issues, and first aid certification.
