Freeman
Regions Area President TOM FREEMAN
will retire from the bank effective Monday.
Freeman’s banking career has spanned 40 years, 39 of those with Regions. Freeman’s current role as Area President involves overseeing multiple lines of business for Regions’ Indiana, greater Illinois and eastern Kentucky territory.
A Delphi native and Lafayette resident, Freeman has been involved with numerous Tippecanoe County not-for-profit organizations throughout his career, including serving as past president of the United Way of Greater Lafayette; former treasurer/ board member of Greater Lafayette Progress Inc.; past president of the Camp Tecumseh YMCA board of directors; and a committee member of the Purdue University Gateways Task Force. He has also served on the boards of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lafayette and the Lafayette Country Club.
The bank has named Mike Hart as Freeman’s successor. Hart currently leads Regions’ Community Banking division within the Business Services Group in Birmingham, Ala., and will relocate to Indianapolis.
