Lois Enoch

Services for Lois Enoch, 100, formerly of Cutler, were held Thursday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Burial followed at Rossville Cemetery.

She died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. Born June 13, 1909, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Leroy and Cecil Amy Shaffer Larimore. She attended Cutler High School. Her marriage was on July 31, 1926, to William J. Enoch, who preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1973.

Mrs. Enoch resided in Carroll County for most of her life.

She was a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Enoch operated a grocery store with her husband in the 1920s then was the telephone operator in Cutler from 1930-1948. She retired in 1971 as Cutler’s Postmistress after 20 years of service.

Surviving are a son, Ted Enoch (wife: Nancy) of Cutler; three grandchildren, Jeff Enoch of Rossville, Jody McGrew (husband: Curt) of Cutler, and Jim Enoch of Flora; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, Riley and Hannah.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Juanita Primmer and Joan Imler.

Memorials may be sent to the Cutler Presbyterian Church.
