County commissioners’ race gains momentum
Rough
Jefferson Township resident and business owner Jamie Rough filed to run for the District 1 commissioners’ seat Monday, making it a two-way race in May’s primary election. Rough will face three-year county council member and long-time Adams Township official Ron Slavens for the spot on the Republican ballot in the November general election.
Rough said Monday he believes it is “time to be accountable for the actions” of those in office. He said he has the spare time in his schedule to serve county residents and to help with county business.
Rough, owner and operator of Elect Staffing, has been a full-time county resident for three years and was recently married.
