BURLINGTON FORUM will meet Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Burlington Community Library. The two main items of business will be to discuss the first 2010 newsletter and to receive an update concerning the community web site. Members of the community are welcome.

CARROLL COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Solomon’s Grill in Delphi. All those with interest in the Democratic party are urged to attend.

A CHILI SUPPER BENEFIT for Catherine Schnepp and family will be held Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Burlington Community Building. Freewill donations will be accepted. Also to help the family porkburger orders are being taken at any participating Carroll County Church, at the chili supper for pickup that night, or March 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Co-Alliance, Flora.

The new KEEPIN’ IT REAL RECOVERY HOUSE on South Division Street, Flora, will have an open house Feb. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. The house offers a safe, mentoring environment for women recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction.

The Feb. 15 meeting of the CARROLL SCHOOL BOARD was cancelled. There will just be one regular meeting this month, on Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Administration Building.

Delphi Preservation Society has two events planned for this Sunday at the Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art. First will be a VOLUNTEER CALL-OUT meeting at 1:30 p.m. Then at 3 p.m., Dawn Cooley will give a presentation on the “ART OF BEAD WORKING.” Cooley is one of the guest artists in the Matters of the Heart exhibit, which runs through March 3. The gallery is located at 109 South Washington Street.

The INDIANA BLOOD CENTER BLOODMOBILE will be in Delphi today, Wednesday, from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center. For information, call (765) 564- 6380.

A PESTICIDE CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP will be held Feb. 24 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. There is a cost for the workshop. Call (765) 564-3169 by Feb. 20 to reserve a spot.

TERRIFIC THURSDAY FOR SENIORS, sponsored by Area IV, will be held Feb. 25 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Monster Mini Golf, 3573 Promenade Way, Lafayette. Individuals age 55 and older are eligible to attend. For information, contact Anita Bowen at (765) 447- 7683.
