Mid-Land Meals offers new meal program
Low-income, elderly and disabled individuals can benefit
Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs was recently awarded economic stimulus funding to offer nutritional meals free of charge to low-income, elderly and disabled individuals. Those who are 200 percent below the poverty level, living in affordable housing complexes or homebound living independently in Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe or White counties are eligible.
Area IV will work with Mid-Land Meals of Lafayette to provide five frozen meals per week to individuals meeting the criteria.
The program is available now through Sept. 30 or as long as funds are available.
