COLE ZOOK of Flora has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Franklin College, Franklin. He is the son of Chris and Cathy Zook.

Ball State University has announced its fall semester dean’s list. Area students earning academic recognition include: AUBREE HERRON, and ANNA SCHARER, both of Cutler; CHELSEA DEVOS and MORGAN YODER, both of Flora; LEANNA SMITH of Logansport; and EMILY THOMPSON of Rossville.

Ball State University has announced the names of students who graduated following the fall semester. Two Carroll County residents were among the graduates: STEPHEN CALLENDER of Delphi, Bachelor of Science degree, and CORY DUNBAR of Delphi, Bachelor of Science degree.

APRIL PRUITT of Delphi, a teacher at Kathie’s Klubhouse Childcare Center, was awarded a CDA Assessment Scholarship through the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood INDIANA Project which is sponsored by the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.

Pruitt has been in child care for three years. The scholarship will pay a portion of the CDA fee and is part of the scholarship award program. T.E.A.C.H. will guarantee her a bonus when she receives the CDA Credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition. Pruitt has made a commitment to remain in the early childhood education field for an additional six months.

She is the daughter of Kathleen Pruitt of Delphi.
