Maxine Adams

R. Maxine Williams Adams, 83, Shelbyville, formerly of Delphi, died Feb. 2, 2010, at Hospice Inpatient Facility, Columbus.

Born July 30, 1926, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Sylbert and Wenonah Taylor Williams. Her marriage was on Aug. 17, 1946, to Charles M. Adams, who died in 1998.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Pam Wilson (husband; Don), Greenwood; a son, Doug Adams (wife: Kelly), Shelbyville; a twin brother, Eugene Williams, Bedford; four sisters, Mary Lou Bush, (husband: Raymond), Rushville, Evelyn Isley, Shelbyville, Pauline Eads, Fort Myers, Fla., and Marjorie Williams, Laramie, Wyo.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Freeman Family Funeral Home, Carmony Ewing Chapel in Shelbyville. Services will be there Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
