      Volunteers will be available to offer 2009 tax filing assistance to senior citizens and low income households Feb. 13 and 27; March 13 and 27 and April 10 at the Delphi Public Library. Be sure to bring all necessary papers and records to the appointment. To schedule a half-an-hour appointment contact the library at (765) 564-2929.

Thompson will run for second term as prosecutor

      Carroll County Prosecutor Tricia Thompson had to defeat two former prosecutors in the 2006 primary and general elections to reach her current elected position. Now that she is in the last year of her first term, she has decided she will again ask the voters of Carroll County to place her in the office for another four years.

Flora considers establishing fire territory

      Flora Volunteer Fire Dept. sought the Town Council’s approval Monday night to explore establishing a fire territory. If the state legislature disbands township government, it would be a way for the town to maintain local control of its fire apparatus, explained chief Scott Sisson.
