Collection for Haiti
Children reach out to children
The last two weeks of January the Camden Early Childhood Center collected money for children in Haiti. The collection was in conjunction with the school’s celebration of the 100th Day of School. For two weeks, the children brought in Pennies for Haiti. The collection was so successful that it turned into Hundreds for Haiti. At final count, the total surpassed $1,000. More...

Around the turn of every year Indiana’s Department of Local Government Finance announces the new base rate for farmland. Frances P. Eikenberry Caldwell, 96, of Camden, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Golden Living Sycamore Village in Kokomo. Born Jan. 29, 1914, in LaPlace, Ill., she was the daughter of Oren and Grace Vigles Eikenberry. She graduated from Bringhurst High School. On Jan. 17, 1937, in Flora, she married Daniel M.
